For the 2010-2011Rotary year, our club is hosting Timothe Ribiere, an inbound long term exchange student from France.

Timothé Ribière is a young man from Bagnols sur Ceze, France, who is 15 years old and loves to play the guitar and ukulele.  His father is a wine grower and his step-mother is a familial worker and his mom is a functionary.  Timothé loves to travel and would like a job working as a linguistic.  He would like to improve his English and learn more about the United States and culture.  Timothé will arrive in Springfield in August and spend his first 3 month with Ken and Jan Bowman.  He will attend Kickapoo School.  If you are interested in hosting Timothé during his stay in Springfield please contact Keri Robinson.

For the 2010-2011Rotary year, our club will be represented in Switerland by outbound long term exchange student Savanna Myers.

Hi, my name is Savanna Myers. I was born November 30, 1993 and I am currently 16 years old. I will be spending my junior year of high school abroad and will graduate from Glendale High School in 2012. I will be representing Springfield Southeast Rotary club in St. Gallen, Switzerland this year. St.Gallen is in the northeast region of Switzerland in the German speaking portion of the country.  In my free time I greatly enjoy listening to music, reading, and running which is how I like to start off each day. In school I was first in my sophomore class at Glendale High School and an active member of Girl's Service Society, the tennis team, Future Career and Community Leaders of America, and my favorite club, World Language Club. I hope that my year abroad will give me a better understanding of a new culture and the world we live in, along with a year of individual growth. I am very grateful to the Rotary Youth Exchange Program for giving me this opportunity and Springfield Southeast for sponsoring me.
