The Projects Committee of the Rotary Club of Springfield Southeast is charged with the responsibility of recommending to the Board of Directors those charitable contributions to be made in the Club’s name for that Rotary year (July 1-June 30). The funds for the year are generated from the Service Fund Assessment.
Organizations are welcome to apply for a Rotary Club Community Grant; however, all applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:
-
Charitable-Grants must be used for a charitable purpose by a 501(c)3 organization.
-
Local-Grants must be used within the southwest portion of Missouri.
-
Community Benefit-There must be a specific community benefit.
-
Recognition-The applicant must acknowledge the contribution in a way that promotes community awareness of the Rotary Club of Springfield Southeast.
The Rotary Club of Springfield Southeast wishes to utilize community grants to achieve the greatest possible impact over a broad range of projects each year. To do this, we award grants ranging from $500 to $1000+.
Every year, the Rotary Club of Springfield Southeast determines their scope of project interest based on the Rotary International goals and club goals. Usually, the projects are focused in literacy, hungry and health; however, occasionally, other areas are considered.
Applications for grants are accepted year round and are reviewed by our Projects Committee. Organizations are encouraged to submit requests for the new Rotary year beginning on July 1. Expect up to one to two months for review and notification.
Requests for funds come from member’s suggestions; mail solicitations, personal solicitations from community organizations, and from ideas generated by Projects Committee members.
